Undergraduate ADVISING

Few experiences in your academic career have as much potential for influencing your collegiate experience as academic advising. Much more than getting your advising code and selecting courses, developing a professional relationship with your academic advisor will help you make informed choices and decisions about your education and career.

Academic advising for undergraduates at UNCG is coordinated within each of the University’s academic units. You will be advised according to your selected academic major. Exploratory majors who are still deciding on the academic major they plan to pursue are advised by the Students First Office. Advising centers are located in each of the 4 professional schools, the 3 Colleges, and within the Students First Office.

The Students First Office, which is part of the Division of Student Success and Office of Undergraduate Studies, is also an academic advising one-stop shop that provides supplemental advising support for any undergraduate student -- regardless of your academic program, school, or college.
