| Professional tutors (post-baccalaureate) | $10.60/hr |
| Professional nursing tutors (B.S.) | $25.00/hr |
| Graduate students in MSN, Nurse Education, Nurse Anesthesia | $35.00/hr |
| Professional Nurse Anesthetist Tutors (CRNA) | $100.00/hr |
Training: All SSC tutors are required to attend ten (10) training sessions per academic semester to maintain good standing. The SSC's tutor training is nationally certified at levels I, II, and III by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Our tutors earn an international certification at each level when they complete 10 hours of training and 25 hours of direct tutoring experience!
Training sessions for new tutors during the fall 2009 semester are scheduled:
Mondays from 4:00-5:00pm
Tuesdays from 5:00-6:00pm
Tutors must be available for one of these days/times each week. Employment is contingent upon attendance. Tutors who fail to meet the minimum training requirements will face probation or termination.
