Group Discussions at SSS

Group Discussions

A series of highly interactive group discussions is offered each semester with specific goals. These goals include:

  • Assisting first-year and other new students in adjusting to UNCG
  • Helping sophomores, juniors, and seniors take advantage of opportunities to broaden their horizons, such as internships and graduate school enrollment
  • Briefing all students on how to obtain better financial aid awards
  • Helping students maximize their employability

Additional group discussions are added periodically to meet the changing needs of students. Each session provides students with information that may not be commonly known or understood. SSS students are asked to place the group sessions on their calendars as soon as possible.

Sessions will be held in the Willow Room in Elliott University Center from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Attendance is limited to students approved for SSS services. For a printable copy of the schedule below click here.
