Undergraduate Studies

Reporting to the Provost, the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies (ODUS) serves as the academic dean’s office for Exploratory Majors, administers the University’s General Education program, and has oversight for retention and graduation initiatives for all undergraduate students. ODUS provides services and information to students related to a broad set of academic matters, including academic standing, academic probation, academic suspension, academic recovery, grade appeals, and academic and OARS policy exception requests and grievances. ODUS also closely monitors student progress toward graduation, retention, graduation rates, and other markers of student success. Finally, ODUS houses the University’s three Multiliteracy Centers and the Academic Testing Center, all of which provide services campus-wide.
