The Minerva’s Mentors (MM) program matches third- and fourth-year students with UNCG alum. Mentor Collective, UNCG platform partner, handles the matching process, using the matching survey submitted by student’s match based on:
- Mentee’s top matching criterion
- Desired mentor’s major
- Career interests
- Desired mentoring frequency Academic interests
- Details about self
- Challenges
- Hobbies
- Requested age
- Languages
Once students are matched, peer mentors ae expected to connect with their mentee once per month and log each conversation in the Mentor Collective Student Dashboard (an online tool used to track mentorship engagement).
By participating in Mentor Collective as a MM Alumni-mentor, you will:
- Use personal experiences and knowledge of campus resources to guide mentee(s) towards relevant support and opportunities.
- Connect with mentee(s) at least 1x a month.
- Log conversations on the Mentor Collective Student Dashboard at least 1x a month.

How to Participate in MM
To become an MM mentee, you must:
- Register as an MM mentee.
- Complete Mentor Collective’s 5-minute.
To Become a MM Alumni-mentor, you must:
- Register to become a mentor
- Complete Mentor Collective’s 5-minute matching survey
- Complete 30-minute online Mentor Collective Student Success Training
