Successful students at UNC Greensboro take advantage of the many resources, programs, and services offered in the Division of Student Success. Accessing these supports in your first year and throughout your time as a Spartan will help you have a successful and fulfilling college experience.

Academic Support

UNCG is tenaciously dedicated to student success and invests its resources in supporting student learning. That’s why we have many tutoring and support initiatives for you to find your success here.

Advising

Few experiences in your academic career have as much potential for influencing your collegiate experience as academic advising. Much more than getting your selected courses, developing a professional relationship with your academic advisor will help you make informed choices and decisions about your education and career.

Academic advising for undergraduates at UNCG is coordinated within each of the University’s academic units and a student’s assigned academic advisor is dependent on their selected major.

Appeals & Petitions

There are academic appeals and petitions that UNCG students can leverage when a course – or even an entire semester – doesn’t go according to plan. Review the options below and reach out to your academic advisor or the Students First Office for assistance.
