The AAC Hires for the following positions:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Can commit to working at least 7 hours each week
  • B+ or higher grade in the class(es) you’d like to tutor
  • Faculty recommendation in the subject area you’d like to tutor

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Good academic standing
  • Can commit to at least 7 hours of work per week
  • Must be able to attend paid training
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate academic coaching sessions (applicants are NOT expected to be content experts)
  • Conduct outreach to students in assigned course(s)
  • Determine individual student needs and academic goals, and structure session time accordingly
  • Focus on helping students develop academic skills
  • Attend weekly training and meetings
  • Manage schedule using TracCloud
  • Submit visit records regarding student interactions
  • Regularly communicate with supervisor via email and meetings
  • Accept and implement improvement suggestions from AAC staff
  • Refer students to campus resources as needed to help them adjust and excel

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Good academic standing
  • Commitment to working 10 hours per week
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with the creation of flyers and handouts for the AAC
  • Create content for social media
  • Prepare materials for Academic Skills workshops, such as handouts, attendance sheets, and visual aids
  • Work the AAC front desk answering phones and greeting students
  • Conduct research and fact checking for AAC content
  • Represent the AAC at campus events such as Rawkin’ Welcome Weeks and First Finals Fest
  • Regularly communicate with supervisor and coworkers via email and/or meetings
  • Accept and implement suggestions from the AAC Staff
