Educational Opportunity Programs offers a suite of scholarship, mentoring, and academic skills programs supporting special populations of students. Initiatives include Department of Education-funded TRiO programs (McNair Scholars and Student Support Services), Campamento Hispano Abriendo Nuestro Camino a la Educación (CHANCE), and UNCG Guarantee.

These programs use High Impact Practices, which are active learning activities and programs that promote a deeper level of learning with a special emphasis on encouraging students to become highly engaged through service on student groups and organizations, undergraduate research, internships, and community service projects. The end result is not only to enhance students' academic success, but also to prepare them for employment after college.
